1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the services offered by Chunkbit ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms"). If you do not accept all the terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Chunkbit is a distributed storage platform that allows users to upload, store, synchronize, and share files and data over the network. The Service is designed to provide a backup area and should not be used as the sole copy of your data.
3. Permitted Use
You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. It is strictly prohibited to:
• Upload, transmit, or share illegal, offensive, or rights-infringing content.
• Use the Service for fraudulent or unauthorized purposes.
• Attempt to access systems or data without authorization.
4. Ownership of Content
You retain ownership of all content uploaded to Chunkbit. However, you grant Chunkbit a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to host, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
5. Data Backup and Storage
Chunkbit is not responsible for loss or unavailability of stored data. It is your sole responsibility to maintain backup copies of your data. The Service is intended as an additional backup location and should not be used as the only copy of your data.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chunkbit shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to data loss or service interruption.
7. Modifications to the Service
Chunkbit reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice. You agree that Chunkbit will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modifications.
8. Modifications to Terms
Chunkbit may revise these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to users via the website or other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws and regulations of the European Union. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of the Service shall be resolved by the competent courts as defined by applicable European Union regulations.
The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform will be discontinued from July 20, 2025 onwards due to Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. Users will be able to access the platform until July 19, 2025, but will no longer be able to submit new complaints.
For consumer disputes arising after the closure of the ODR platform, please refer to the alternative dispute resolution bodies certified under Article 21 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act). A list of certified dispute resolution bodies is published by the European Commission on its official website.
